Why Heatons? 

For more than 40 years, we traded as Westmorland Sheepskins – a name that served us well.

But our story began long before that. Back in 1899, the Heaton family was already crafting warm, dependable clothing from natural materials.

This is our way of reconnecting with that heritage – and building a brand that reflects not just where we’ve been, but where we’re going.

Yes! Our products haven’t changed -  just our name.

Is Heatons the same company?

Yes. We’re the same family-run business, just under a name with deeper roots.

Will my account / orders from Westmorland still work?

Why Heatons?

It’s our family name - and the name of our first family business, dating back to 1899.

What made you change? 

Heatons is our family name and it felt right to honour our amazing heritage.

We weren't based in the county of Westmorland anymore, and hadn't been for a long time.

We do a lot more than just sheepskins.
