Handcrafted, cork-backed, cuttable 100% Merino Sheepskin Insoles that can be slipped into any slipper or shoe to add extra warmth and comfort.  Designed with seasonal influences and colours, formed from sumptuous Spanish merino, weaving sustainably farmed natural cork throughout and handcrafted by our partners of skilled craftspeople in Southwest Europe.

How does it work?  There are two sizes available;

M : EU 36 – 41

L : EU 41 – 46

We advise cutting to one size bigger than your standard shoe size to begin and checking to see how they fit in your shoes or slippers. If you cut them too small they may be prone to moving within your shoe and you can always go smaller if needed.

Part of the new all Laurel Merino sheepskin collection from Westmorland Sheepskins.  Merino Sheepskin has very fine fibres, meaning that it is very warm and offers greater protection than other sheep’s wool. Find out more about the qualities of Sheepskin.

Cork is a natural product that is sustainable, environmentally friendly, carbon positive, biodegradable and renewable. It also helps promote biodiversity and important ecological processes while the plantations support local communities. All of which helped influence our decision to use cork instead of synthetic alternatives alongside Sheepskin.

Comfortable boots

A few years ago my husband went to Spain and bought me some boots. I very rarely wear them as they're a bit too wide and my feet slop about in them. I tried insoles from our local cobbler which made no difference. So to Westmorland Sheepskin Insoles. They were easy to cut, with the lines marked on them, and brilliant - I can now wear the boots and walk in them comfortably.

Fabulous

I bought two pairs of these, one pair for my sheepskin slippers and one pair for my husband's. They are perfect, warm and they prolong the life of the slippers. I would really recommend them and the seller.

Bought these to go in my wellies for winter. OMG. Absolutely amazing, soft underfoot and toasty toes even on a long walk. Now wondering what other shoes I can fit a pair into…

Toasty

Easy to trim to exact size and keep my feet warm and dry in chunky lace-up boots. Suffer from cold feet during the winter, hard to keep warm and comfortable and these work perfectly, totally recommend. Excellent service, environmentally packaged and prompt delivery

Since our lease ran out at our shop in Harrogate 2 years ago, we've been looking for a new (public-facing) home and it seems that we've found it. Not by coincidence by any means.

Around 12 years ago we spoke about family business and retail at the Mill with Robin Silver, Director at Salts Mill and brother of founder, Jonathon. The door to discussion was left open, and although Robin has since stepped down as Director, we re-instigated that conversation with the Salts team earlier this year.

And so... we’ve just opened a new shop at Salts Mill in Bradford and for the first time, it is exclusively our own brand (which is all very exciting) 😊 Situated on the second floor, near the ever popular Salts Diner, you can find us in the bright and airy gallery that houses Gold Lark jewellery and Rohan outdoor clothing.

Salt's Mill is best known for its connection to David Hockney and Yorkshire’s textile heritage under Sir Titus Salt, right in the heart of Saltaire – a UNESCO World Heritage village. It’s a beautiful giant of a space full of culture, art, heritage, antiques, design, food and independent shopping and it’s nice to now be a small part of that fabric and community.

We know you'll love it if you haven't visited already. You can tie a quiet mooch around with a coffee and a walk along the canal perhaps...

Our Opening Hours - Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm.
