Real British Sheepskin. Rare by nature. Light in tone, rich in character.

Genuine British rare breed sheepskins – every rug is 100% real British rare breed sheepskin and no two are ever the same. Soft, light tones and natural markings give each piece its own character.

Tanned using traditional, low-impact methods, there’s no bleaching, dyeing or over-processing. Just real wool, as nature intended – soft, dense, and full of  understated luxury.

With lanolin-rich wool that naturally resists dirt and repels spills, it’s practical too. Just shake it out, give it the odd brush, and let it soften and settle over time.

Throw it over a chair or bench, tuck it by the fire, or give the dog a treat, it suits all kinds of spaces and brings its own quiet character to each one.

Effortless comfort, quiet tones and individuality you won’t find in anything synthetic and mass-produced.

Joanne Shaw

Excellent service and staff very helpful. I needed to know the length of the rug as it was going on a dining table bench so following a telephone call back from the shop I purchased two of the rare breed sheepskin rugs. Arrived promptly and safely and very pleased with them. They look stunning on the two benches.

Fabulous!

This sheepskin exceeded all my expectations, it is absolutely beautiful. Incredibly thick and soft. Just so luxurious and really beautiful. I bought the dark spotted fleece and it's gorgeous. I'm using it as a bedside rug and it's absolutely blissful to feel when you're getting up or going to bed, really warm and soft. Now wondering whether I need another one!!

Gorgeously Plush!

We got 2 of these sheepskins for making our living room more cozy. The whole family loves sitting/lying on them on the floor infant of the fire, they have made the room SO cozy and inviting. The skins feel amazingly soft, the best sheepskins I've ever seen. Thanks, Ben

Since our lease ran out at our shop in Harrogate 2 years ago, we've been looking for a new (public-facing) home and it seems that we've found it. Not by coincidence by any means.

Around 12 years ago we spoke about family business and retail at the Mill with Robin Silver, Director at Salts Mill and brother of founder, Jonathon. The door to discussion was left open, and although Robin has since stepped down as Director, we re-instigated that conversation with the Salts team earlier this year.

And so... we’ve just opened a new shop at Salts Mill in Bradford and for the first time, it is exclusively our own brand (which is all very exciting) 😊 Situated on the second floor, near the ever popular Salts Diner, you can find us in the bright and airy gallery that houses Gold Lark jewellery and Rohan outdoor clothing.

Salt's Mill is best known for its connection to David Hockney and Yorkshire’s textile heritage under Sir Titus Salt, right in the heart of Saltaire – a UNESCO World Heritage village. It’s a beautiful giant of a space full of culture, art, heritage, antiques, design, food and independent shopping and it’s nice to now be a small part of that fabric and community.

We know you'll love it if you haven't visited already. You can tie a quiet mooch around with a coffee and a walk along the canal perhaps...

Our Opening Hours - Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm.
