Huw is a Spanish merino men’s sheepskin slipper boot with a robust sole, that is handcrafted in Europe. Experience top-tier foot comfort, and style with this luxuriously crafted slipper boot. For smaller sizes, take a look at Erin.

Name origin: Tim and Dominique Heaton’s eldest son. Welsh form of Hugh, meaning heart, mind, or spirit.

Please note: we are in the middle of a rebrand and this slipper may have a different label to the one shown.

Sheepskin is renowned globally as one of the best natural materials to keep you warm and temperature regulated. Sheepskin is also naturally breathable and moisture-wicking, so your feet stay comfortable no matter the weather. Enjoy quality craftsmanship.

Sheepskin slippers should feel firm and snug when you first try them on. As you wear them, the wool beds down and moulds around your foot making them loosen up. We recommend buying your usual size with this in mind as you don’t want them to become too loose. If you usually wear a half size, we recommend sizing up to ensure you get the length in closed-toe and heel styles but you can size down with mules and sliders.

Nice But

Very nice slippers but I take a 10.5 and as advised on the website I ordered up a size so 11. They are now having worn them awhile very loose to the point of needing to wear 2 pairs of wool socks with them. Quality very good but think about size.

Fantastic Slipper best you can buy

As always the product is beautiful. The quality is superb and the styling lovely. Bought these for my husband and as expected he loves them. I already have a pair of slippers from last Xmas and I live in them. They are so warm and comfortable. If you buy from Westmorland you will not be dissapointed but completely hooked. I will never buy sheepskin products from anywhere else.

Lighter and darker tones are usually available and every rug will vary as each is delightfully unique.

SIZING of natural shaped products isn't always straight forward. Some may be wide, some slim, some long, some short. Each rug is usually between 125cm and 135cm in length (including fur) by 70cm and 95cm.

Our Stunning "spotty" Jacobs are dotted with brown & white patches but all individual.

SIZING of natural shaped products isn't always straight forward. Some may be wide, some slim, some long, some short.

If the combined length and width of the sheepskin (at the widest and longest parts) is under 160cm it is a small rug. And if it's greater than 160cm it's a large. Simples : )

Please note - Our Jacob rugs are all unique and a rug matching the product photos is not guaranteed.

With the white / cream colour, they may change slightly over the years when in direct sunlight as the wool ages and the oxidisation process. It may turn them creamier rather than white but still beautiful.

Sheepskin Nursing rug in Ivory Polka Dot draped over a cot in a nursery
Nursing Baby Sheepskin Rug

Love your little ones and keep them cool during the summer months and snug, then warm during the winter months. A sheepskin nursing gift is a timeless, practical gift for a new mum and baby - thoroughly tested by us mums and our babes.

The facts about wool

  • It absorbs up to 33% of its weight in moisture, the leather then drawing this away from the skin
  • It is scientifically proven to enhance sleep, adapting to the climate and keeping you warm in the winter and dry in the warmer months
  • It is hypoallergenic, helping to reduce allergies by creating a drier environment that dust mites find it difficult to endure
  • Specifically, medical and nursing rugs have less loose fibres and are subject to a more natural tanning process that makes them safe for babies

Since our lease ran out at our shop in Harrogate 2 years ago, we've been looking for a new (public-facing) home and it seems that we've found it. Not by coincidence by any means.

Around 12 years ago we spoke about family business and retail at the Mill with Robin Silver, Director at Salts Mill and brother of founder, Jonathon. The door to discussion was left open, and although Robin has since stepped down as Director, we re-instigated that conversation with the Salts team earlier this year.

And so... we’ve just opened a new shop at Salts Mill in Bradford and for the first time, it is exclusively our own brand (which is all very exciting) 😊 Situated on the second floor, near the ever popular Salts Diner, you can find us in the bright and airy gallery that houses Gold Lark jewellery and Rohan outdoor clothing.

Salt's Mill is best known for its connection to David Hockney and Yorkshire’s textile heritage under Sir Titus Salt, right in the heart of Saltaire – a UNESCO World Heritage village. It’s a beautiful giant of a space full of culture, art, heritage, antiques, design, food and independent shopping and it’s nice to now be a small part of that fabric and community.

We know you'll love it if you haven't visited already. You can tie a quiet mooch around with a coffee and a walk along the canal perhaps...

Our Opening Hours - Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm.
